Galata

Cape Galata is very attractive to a lot of tourists, particularly those who are seeking peace and quiet amongst natural surroundings. There are wide meadows situated amongst deciduous groves and natural springs, and rocks that are suitable for fishing and cockle catching. It is a residential district and is part of Asparuhovo Quarter, which lies in the very south part of Varna city, across the Asparuhovo Bridge. An important landmark is Galata Lighthouse. The height above sea water is 62 metres.
