Property in Bulgaria: Fees and Costs

When you calculate the amount that you will need to buy a property in Bulgaria, you should bear in mind the the following costs.

Our commission: Many of our apartments, and some houses, are sold 'commission free'. This means that we will not charge you an agency fee if you buy one of these properties. For other properties we will charge you an agency fee that is equal to 4% of the purchase price, with a minimum fee of 1,000 Euro.

Legal and other costs: Legal fees for setting up a company and carrying out the conveyancing are normally around 1,000 Euro. State Tax (the equivalent of Stamp Duty) is 2% of the purchase price. Other legal and notary fees amount to approximately 2% of the price.
