Just three miles from St Vlad, and just a few miles south of the town of Obzor, lies Emona village. According to the legends, Emona is the birthplace of the Thracian king, Rez, who participated in the Thracian war. The remains of a Bulgarian medieval fortress are still visible in Emona. There is also a light-house and the remains of a monastery.
