The town of Shabla itself is very small, with only about 4000 inhabitants, but has many attractions. It combines beautiful, green forests with spectacular coastlines. Close to the town is the Lake of Shabla, which is one of the biggest lakes in Bulgaria with very interesting flora and fauna. The lake (otherwise known as 'moor') which is semi-salty and up to 9.5m deep, is located near the Shabla Cape. Next to it is the Shabla Touzla, which is used for mud therapy.
