St Konstantin and Elena is a relaxed and friendly resort that is situated between Varna and Golden Sands. It is particularly popular with affluent Bulgarian tourists and Russian investors. One of the things that makes St Konstantin special is that the resort has a total of 7 mineral springs. There are several lovely beaches at St Konstantin and you can walk from one to another along the numerous footpaths in the colourful parks, or along the sea shore. It really is a pleasure to walk along the footpaths, which are shaded by the trees in the forest. St Konstantin was voted the Resort of the Year in 2007.
St Konstantin is a true spa and health resort. It has both indoor and outdoor mineral water pools. The 7 mineral springs have water temperatures of between 40°C and 60°C. There are also many excellent places to eat, including Bulgarian, Russian, Chinese and Thai restaurants. Of course, fresh local fish is also on the menu, and you can sit and enjoy the beautiful scenery whilst you sample the cuisine.
The monastery of "St St Konstantin and Elena" was built in the 14th-15th centuries. It has been rebuilt three times and is still in use today. The wonderful mineral waters, with their healing properties, are used in baptisms and blessings. You can visit the monastery and light a candle in the chapel. The monastery is a beautiful example of Bulgarian architecture.
While adults will appreciate the restaurants, bars and wooded parks the children will love the miniature trains that take visitors around the resort. There are also children's playgrounds, a football ground and tennis courts. There are several supermarkets at St Konstantin and Elena, as well as numerious small shops and stalls that sell souvenirs, fresh fruit and vegetables and even gothic jewellery and rock memorabilia.
Just outside the resort of St Konstantin and Elena is the beautiful palace of Evksinograd.
